The new EU Energy Poverty Observatory is a Drupal-based, state-of-the-art platform that aims to bring together, animate, educate and inform all stakeholders involved in energy poverty across the EU Member States. And they are more than you think!

INTRASOFT, as a core member of the consortium managing the Observatory (others include University of Manchester, Wuppertal Institute and European Policy Center), delivered the portal during the launch ceremony of January 29, 2018 at the Charlemagne building in Brussels. The event featured the participation of the Commission's Vice-President for the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič, Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete, Director-General for Energy Dominique Ristori and numerous other high-profile speakers.

We have been working for over a year bringing together resources from across our consortium and translating an extremely sensitive topic into code. The result justifies our consortium’s efforts and underlines our commitment in the long run. The Observatory’s main goal is help improve the measuring, monitoring and sharing of knowledge and best practices, regarding Energy Poverty.
