A consortium that includes INTRASOFT International has been selected by the Australian Capital Territory Government to implement a new revenue collection and concession payment platform. The contract is part of a three year AUD($) 30 million transformation project designed to deliver better, faster and smarter services for people paying taxes or receiving concessions.

The platform project is the first in Australia for INTRASOFT International, showcasing the international capacity of the company and its corporate strategy to invest in global markets. The platform, based on Oracle’s Public Sector Revenue Management product, will be implemented by INTRASOFT International in partnership with its client and consortium leader, DB Results, an Australian owned digital business consulting and technology company.

The ACT Revenue Office collects over AUD($) 1.2 billion in taxes and levies each year to help fund vital public services including health, education, public transport, roads, footpaths, cycle paths, recycling and rubbish collection, parks, reserves and libraries. The Revenue Office also administers over $50 million worth of rebates and subsidies each year for pensioners, low income earners and people with disabilities for their rates, energy, water, sewerage, taxi travel and spectacles.

Commissioner for ACT Revenue, Kim Salisbury, said: “After a rigorous selection process we believed the Oracle Public Sector Revenue Management product was a good fit for our business needs and future vision. The implementation team combined DB Results’ proven local project delivery capability with INTRASOFT International’s tax experience.”

The Revenue Office transformation that the contract supports will help deliver the ACT Government’s Strategic Priority of Economic Growth and Diversification, the Digital Canberra Action Plan 2014-18’s Digital Services Vision and the roll out of Access Canberra, the ACT’s one-stop shop for government services.

Mr. Alexandros Manos, CEO of INTRASOFT International commented: “We are honoured to be able to contribute to the transformation of Australian Capital Territory government services - promoting improved service delivery and efficiency for Government and Citizens. Over the years, INTRASOFT International has developed strong expertise in public sector IT systems for governments globally with major implementations in Taxation, Treasury, Customs and Compliance systems. The selection of our company by an advanced organisation such as the ACT Government to provide its Taxations subject matter expertise, is solid proof of the value INTRASOFT International brings to its customers.”
